I don’t think the first answer seems too much, but I would feel like a bit of a stretch also. I don’t want to go through this process with people with whom I wouldn’t want to have some say in recruiting and finding a partner. However, I wouldn’t consider any kind of role that would act as a ‘client’ until the candidate asks for that person, in order that at least they’d like to do it themselves.
